Washoe Wine Company is a small, nationally recognized, locally owned and operated, retail wine store in Reno, Nevada. With over 600 different labels, we specialize in small production, hand crafted wines from all around the world, including many difficult to get wines that are not otherwise available in this market. Every wine is tasted by us before we purchase and place it on our shelves. This is the only way to guarantee our customers that each bottle in the store is the best example for that particular style, place, and price point in the marketplace today. Every wine at Washoe Wine Company is exceptional; there are no mass marketed, mass produced, “grocery store” wines on our shelves.

Washoe Wine Company is Northern Nevada’s source for wine knowledge and education. We are the only store in Northern Nevada run by certified wine professionals and are the source of wine expertise for both Reno Magazine and the Reno Gazette Journal. With over 30 years of wine collecting experience, travel experience in every wine producing area of France, Spain, California, Washington, and Oregon as well as Italy, Germany, Austria, Chile, Portugal, Greece, and hands on winery experience in Burgundy, California, Washington, and Oregon there is no other retail wine store that offers the level of knowledge and experience in the state of Nevada.

Washoe Wine Company has Northern Nevada’s only serious selection of natural wines. More and more wines on the market today are produced with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in the vineyard, enzymes, chemical additions, oak chips, and machine manipulation in the winery. These products are designed and sculpted to get high point scores and be attractive for particular demographic groups. The focus at Washoe Wine Company is on exceptional, small production, minimally manipulated wines that are good value, pure and simple.
